My American Idol Rant 4/20/06

This season of American Idol has been less than impressive for me as a whole(weak themes, dismal contestants, judges going easy on the favorites) but nonetheless I tune in EVERY week. On Tuesday the show was FANTASTIC everyone but that God Awful Kellie Pickler did a good job.




Paris Bennett gave the STANDOUT performance of the night. Her rendition of "These Foolish Things" was simply mesmerizing. How did America reward this performance.... with a Bottom 3 finish..I could not believe she was among the lowest 3 vote getters on last night. What else does American want from this little dynamo. Well I'm just thankful that she was returned to safety and maybe next week she will get her due and get the "frontrunner" status. Out of the 6 contestants left only she and Chris Daughtry could potentially have long lasting recording careers. The others are background singers, lounge acts, and carnival cruise performers. I did try to vote on Tuesday but could not get through for the entire 2 hours so I will be in full force in my attempt to save Paris Bennett
