Any one who knows me knows I LOVE THIS GUY!!. There hasn't been a singer since his passing that has held a candle to his vocal genuis . Most people are familiar with only two solo songs (A Song for You, This Christmas) and his duets with Roberta Flack(Where is the Love, The Closer I get to You). Donny's catalogue goes much deeper and if you like the aforementioned songs then you will NEED to buy all of Donny's albums. Donny was gospel, R&B, jazz, pop, and soul. Which is why I almost threw up in my mouth a little when Justin Timberlake claimed Donny as an influence.. clearly he was lying..

Donny was the premier soul singer. He wasn't just some studio singer as his live albums are better than his studio recordings. Donny also recorded the theme song to the 70's hit show Maude. Donny was also a member of ALPHA PHI ALPHA FRATERNITY, INC
